Leafy Greens Vertical Farming Systems
Multi-tier production for leafy greens — designed around turnaround, consistency and energy per kilogram.

01 Crops
Crops suited to vertical production
Lettuce, spinach, kale, ice plant, microgreens and similar leafy crops — species whose short cycles and compact canopies reward multi-tier, controlled production.
02 Multi-Tier Layout & Turnaround
Layout and turnaround
Multi-tier racking multiplies the productive area of a given footprint, and the layout is planned around the crop's cycle — so seeding, transplanting and harvest flow continuously rather than in bursts.

03 The Numbers
The numbers behind leafy green production
-
Crop turnaround - 25–35 days per cycle
-
Cycles per year - up to ~14
-
Marketable yield in commercial lines - commonly 90%+
04 Why It Needs a System
Why leafy greens need a system, not a rack
Turnaround and consistency decide the business case — and both come from the system: light the crop can use, solution at the right EC and pH, airflow that prevents tipburn, and energy use that keeps OPEX in line.

What we deliver
A leafy green vertical farming scope: multi-tier layout, irrigation, dosing, climate and energy — designed, integrated and commissioned as one system.
FAQ.
Q: What PPFD and DLI do leafy greens need?
A: It depends on species and stage, but leafy greens are typically grown in a moderate light range compared with fruiting crops. We specify per crop.
Q: Which hydroponic circuit suits leafy greens?
A: NFT and DWC are the common workhorses; the choice depends on the room and business model.
Q: How do you prevent tipburn in lettuce?
A: Tipburn is driven by weak calcium transport under poor airflow and low transpiration. The working combination is a calcium foliar spray (around 0.5–1% CaCl₂ in published trials), a warmer solution temperature, and canopy airflow in the 0.3–1 m/s range. (Research references; we tune per crop and room.)
